UNGA 2018: Women leading the way. The power of women’s leadership in politics, businesses, and communities

Rather than focusing solely on the challenges and the low representation of women in leadership in both the political and economic spheres, Women Deliver and partners believe in spotlighting diverse examples of leadership that demonstrate how to accelerate progress, drive change, and catalyze action.

This year’s UN General Assembly 2018 provides a key opportunity to engage diverse and influential stakeholders for a discussion on the power and impact of girls and women as leaders, and to help paint a picture of what leadership looks like from the global to the grassroots levels. Looking at the connection between leadership and power, this event will also serve as an important pit stop for building excitement and energy on the road to the Women Deliver 2019 Conference in Vancouver, Canada, where the theme will be Power.
